Prior to founding PW&A, Obakeng served as a Consultant to Baroka Tribal Mining (Pty) Ltd. During his time with BTM, Obakeng has led the Company’s efforts to access the U.S. and Canadian capital markets for mining exploration projects and to seek U.S. and Canadian partnerships for potential mining ventures on lands occupied by the Baroka Tribal community. As a native-born South African, Obakeng has a strong commitment to bridging the gap between the North America and South African business communities and is dedicated to assisting companies from both locations with high growth potential to expand their presence and brand internationally. This commitment and dedication led him to create Phiri Williams & Associates. Obakeng’s knowledge of the business cultures in North America and South Africa, combined with his connections to the business communities in both locations, make him a key asset for companies looking to expand their operations or brand inter-continentally.

As a chief executive officer prior to joining PW&A, Tshepo spent close to ten years working with some of the world’s largest mining companies and conglomerates. He has worked closely on top deals with major multinational corporations dealing with a full range of issues such as intellectual property, contractual relations, product placements, corporate structure and international operations. Tshepo has had substantial experience structuring joint ventures and strategic alliances and the negotiation for complex business transactions, international mergers and acquisitions.
